AS KUMI SCHOOLS RE-OPEN
It has been a very busy start to the new year! All the school year groups in Uganda re-opened after being shut for two years. Most of the children have been desperate to go back to school and Robinah has been working hard getting all them ready with shoes, uniform and scholastic materials. She has been visiting all the different schools helping the children get registered and prepared for the new school year. It’s not all plain sailing at the moment as some of our young ladies have become teenage mums as a consequence of lockdown – we are currently looking at how we support them to complete their education – see Mariam’s story below…
OUR ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY & GIFT GIVING
LOTS OF FESTIVE CHEER TO REPORT HERE!
Robinah planned and hosted a Christmas party for our sponsored children and the street youth. They all had a fantastic time at what is becoming an annual Christmas event. It was amazing to have all our sponsored children and street youth in the same place. They celebrated by sharing a meal and a cake, dancing, singing and having a time of worship and prayer together.
Thanks to your generosity as sponsors each of your children received a Christmas gift in the form of a live chicken. This is such a blessing to each of the families who have expressed their thanks and gratitude.
